Liberta provides a professional, reliable and business-class school cleaning service to over 50 nursery schools, primary schools, secondary schools, boarding schools, colleges and universities.

We provide janitorial.

With the education sector making up around one-third of Liberta  customer base, we have a wealth of experience in cleaning schools.

We understand that every school or education facility has differing needs and aim to be as flexible as possible. Customers can choose a term-time only contract (39-week), term-time plus deep cleans, or a full 52-week contract.

We willingly work around specific events such as parents’ evenings, and where required, act as caretaker for call-outs. During the holidays we regularly provide deep-cleans in preparation for the start of a new school term.

How quickly can you start the cleaning contract?
Ideally, we require 4 weeks from signing the contract to starting it. This allows us to comply with current TUPE legislation which states a 28-day consultation period. More than that, it provides us with time to find good quality cleaners and make the necessary arrangements to ensure we provide you with the excellent service you are expecting. If for any reason you require an urgent start then we will make a special request to the Contracts Manager in your area, who will do their best to accommodate your needs.

Can we sign up for a trial period?
In order to remain competitive on cost, our standard 12-month contract includes a clause allowing you to break the contract if for any reason you are unhappy with the service you are receiving. Our contract states that we have 15 days to put things right but if this is still not to your reasonable satisfaction, then we will bow out gracefully. In effect we are always ‘on trial’.
Are all cleaners DBS checked?
If a cleaner is likely to come into contact with under 18s, and do not have a DBS, they will be signed up to work with a 'buddy' while we wait for their DBS to be returned (can be anything from 2 to 14 days). They will not be working alone at any time.
Can we get termly deep cleans?
Most customers in the education sector will have termly deep cleans as part of their annual contract with Rapid. This will usually be the equivalent of 1-4 weeks of cleaning hours. A convenient time can be booked in advance with your Contracts Manager and a bespoke deep clean schedule will be agreed.
Do you have a set hourly rate?
We generally work on a cost per building and tailor-made service, rather than an hourly rate. We prefer to treat each customer as an individual and cleaner rates of pay will differ depending on location.
Do we have to keep our current cleaner(s)?
The current TUPE law exists to protect the employee. Our Managing Director, Jeff Whitton, has written a post giving the full information on how the TUPE law will affect you/your business.
